Sigma Pi Calendar and Event Editor

Description:
Web based database for storing events, including holidays and birthdays. The Calendar web page utilizes DHTML programming to display events from the database, with event listing per month along with event descriptions. A feature given allows users to e-mail new events that they wish to have entered into the event database. An administrative tool allows for adding, editing, deleting and purging events in the database. Events are such that they can reoccur and have a defined duration.

Status and Recent Upgrades:

• 05/01/2003 - Fixed problem when single quotes exist in event description or details
• 04/29/2003 - Fixed e-mailer routine
• 04/26/2003 - New version published
• 01/01/2003 - Modifications made for handling event durations, not including recurring events.

Open Issues and Problems:

• Event duration is working but not programmed yet to work with a recurring event. Lots of issues on this one which may require a full re-vamp of the program
• Data validation and reformatting needed
• Calendar cannot be used with Netscape
